Denmark

A native of Denmark, Jeanette Ottesen is recognized as one of the premier freestyle and butterfly sprinters in Europe, holding numerous Danish national records. She placed fifth in the world at the Beijing Olympic Games in the 100m freestyle and earned the 2008 European Championship title in the 100m freestyle. She began swimming at the age of 12 after dancing for ten years.
